TEACHER AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

The Eternal Salute Teacher Ambassador Program enables educators to support our mission to preserve our heroes' stories for future generations. Educators who participate in the program will be required to complete the following:

- Write 2 lesson plans based on our heroes' stories

- Teach one of our lessons and provide feedback

In return, educators will receive:

- A $50 stipend per lesson plan

- The opportunity for your students to participate in our yearly Eternal Salute Essay Contest (monetary prize given for both teacher and student)

- Professional Development Credit

- An Eternal Salute Teacher Ambassador Pin and Certificate

"I selected the lesson plan "I'll Never Forget" because I knew my 6th-grade students would enjoy hearing the "Chick Magnet's" story. What I loved about the lesson plan is it was ready to go--everything was right there for easy implementation. My students loved Mr. Callander's story and had a great time coming up with lyrics for a song about his time in the war. Some students took a different route and asked if they could draw a photo of Mr. Callander's life in the military. The lesson plan allowed me to make these spur-of-the-moment changes. I will continue to use Eternal Salute and spread the word to my colleagues."
