Using an interview with World War II veteran, Harold McMurran, students will reflect upon the feelings that members of the Allied Forces experienced on the morning of June 6, 1944.

Students will analyze a set of documents connected to D-Day using Table Talk /Carousel Strategy. Students will view a veteran’s personal interview about events that occurred during the D-Day landings.
This lesson focuses on Operation Paperclip and the building of America's space program.

This lesson utilizes primary sources to tell the story of the Battle of Tarawa. It asks students to consider how our country memorializes those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country's freedom.

One of the key players in the June 6, 1944, Normandy landings was the weather. The weather impacted the landings in various ways, including seasickness, difficulty in getting off landing craft, scaling cliffs, and jumping into enemy territory. This lesson will allow students to get into the minds of the soldiers and sailors of the D-Day invasion.
